The base option features an 82-kWh battery connected to an electric motor in a rear-wheel drive layout. This setup gives the SUV its maximum electric range of 293 miles and an EPA-estimated 106 MPGe combined. It takes 28 minutes for this battery to charge from 10% to 80% using a DC fast charger.

The twin-motor powertrain uses a 78-kWh battery and two electric motors in an all-wheel drive setup. This system delivers an impressive 402 horsepower and 494 pound-feet of torque. Paired with the Geartronic™ automatic, it gives a smooth blend of power and efficiency.

The new XC40 Recharge is available with the pilot driver-assist suite for optimal handling. It includes adaptive cruise control, hill descent control, and hill assist.
